NAT128 - (Churchill-Rail-Line) SINGAPORE. x-16s. A deal has been reached to sell and repair a broken rail line that is the only land link for the northern Manitoba town of Churchill. The community on Hudson Bay has been isolated since spring flooding in 2017 damaged the line and forced fuel and food to be flown in at skyrocketing costs. Manitoba M-P Jim Carr, who's the federal minister of international trade diversification, says the government will stay involved in the project. ("..will be available.") (SOURCE:The Canadian Press)

TAG: Carr, who was speaking from Singapore, says he will make those details available when he returns next week. Work on the project is also expected to start next week, with plans to restore rail service before the winter.
