In response to Marc A. Thiessen's Sept. 1 column, "Impeachment Is Just a Liberal Fantasy," the Post-Gazette should have omitted the word "liberal" from the title and added "as of now" to the end. Bill Clinton was impeached for lying to Congress about a personal sex affair. Nobody, conservative or liberal, would think of impeaching Mr. Trump, who lies about anything and everything, for lying about his affairs.

But there is a difference here. Mr. Trump appears to have not only lied but also directed his personal lawyer to pay to keep the story out of his campaign for president and then reimbursed him from the Trump Organization as a legal expense - potential violations of campaign finance laws and tax laws.

Moreover, as Mr. Thiessen reluctantly allows in but one sentence in the last paragraph of his column, there may be more, perhaps a lot more, to come from the Mueller investigation. …
