St. Louis Police Arrest 'Person of Interest' in MetroLink Killing of County Employee

ST. LOUIS - St. Louis homicide detectives have arrested a person of interest in the killing of a St. Louis County Health Department employee who was slain near a MetroLink station on South Grand Boulevard in August.

Lt. Scott Aubuchon said detectives arrested the man last week on different charges. He has not been charged with the killing.

"I'm confident our investigation will lead to an arrest (for murder) and someone will be charged with this," he said.

The Post-Dispatch is not naming the man because he has not been charged with the crime.

Craig LeFebvre, 48, was killed by a stray bullet on Aug. 21 while standing 50 to 75 yards away from an altercation between two men, police say. LeFebvre, a spokesman for the St. Louis County health department since 2007, didn't own a car and always used public transportation, his brother said. …
