"Let 'Em Know You're There" is a short documentary on former NBA and Duquesne University basketball player Jim Tucker that debuts on WQED at 8 p.m. Thursday.

Mr. Tucker, now 85, held the record for the fastest triple-double for 60 years until earlier this year, when it was broken by Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets. Mr. Tucker, as a member of the Syracuse Nationals from 1954-57, recorded the feat in 17 minutes; Mr. Jokic in 14 minutes, 33 seconds.

A triple-double occurs when a player accumulates a double digit number total in three of five statistical categories - points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocked shots - in a game.

The production of the film was made in partnership with Readily Apparent Media (a production company based in Austin, Texas) and OHA (Onondaga Historical Association). …
