Man 'With a Heart of Gold' Is Discovered Dead in Flat

A MAN found dead in a flat in Bolton has been named as 32-yearold John Baxendale.

Mr Baxendale was identified as another man, David Hesketh, appeared Bolton Magistrates' Court charged with his murder.

Tributes have been paid to Mr Baxendale, who was described by friends as a kind man 'with a heart of gold.' .

Mr Baxendale, believed to be originally from Breightmet, Bolton, was discovered dead in a flat in Aldersyde Street, in Great Lever, on Friday evening.

John Ormston, a friend of Mr Baxendale, said: "John would do anything for anybody. If he only had a pound left, he'd give it to you. He really did have a heart of gold."

Another friend, who asked not to be named, added: "He was a lovely man. Anyone who knew him would tell you that. He would never hurt a fly.

"John had the most amazing manners and was very gentle. …
