"Out of Many - Stories of Migration," a photography exhibition that pictures migration and immigration in a variety of ways, is at Carlow University Art Gallery through Dec. 6.

Images by Pittsburgh-based photographers Brian Cohen, Scott Goldsmith, Nate Guidry, Lynn Johnson and Annie O'Neill include a naturalization ceremony, the recent arrival of a Bhutanese family and places of worship and community centers built by earlier generations of immigrants.

The exhibition was presented at the Westmoreland Museum of American Art, Greensburg, as "Emigration-Immigration-Migration: Five-Photographic Perspectives," in January. The following free public events will be held in conjunction with the Carlow exhibition:

* 4 p.m. Sept. 25: "Standing With Immigrants, a Work of Mercy" -Sister Pat Murphy and Sister JoAnn Persch of Chicago will discuss their work with people being deported. …
