NIKITA Parris came back to haunt her old club as City picked up their first FA Women's Super League win of the season with a convincing 4-0 victory at Everton last night.

A spectacular first-half goal from Georgia Stanway, two second-half strikes from ex-Toffee Parris and a late Claire Emslie effort sealed all three points for Nick Cushing's side.

City's first sight of goal saw Stanway open the scoring as she hammered home from the edge of the box after Everton failed to clear a corner on 17 minutes.

The visitors almost doubled their lead five minutes later but Steph Houghton's free-kick clipped the post.

Everton continued to pose a threat and Bardsley had to be alert to parry Claudia Walker's drive on 27 minutes, before Danielle Turner hooked a header from Jen Beattie off the line two minutes later. …
