DELAWARE, Ohio - Stay Hungry was disqualified in the first heat, and later scratched from the second heat on Thursday at the US$642,000 Little Brown Jug -- ending any chance of becoming the first Pacing Triple Crown winner since No Pan Intended in 2003.

Courtly Choice won the $436,560 final heat for three-year-old pacers at the Delaware County Fair in 1:49.3, with Dorsoduro Hanover second, Lather Up third and Hayden Hanover fourth.

Thirteen horses were entered in the third jewel, so there needed to be two elimination races to determine the final field of eight for the same-day final.

Stay Hungry looked to have won his elimination heat but was disqualified for interference with Dorsoduro Hanover in the first turn of the race. …
