CITY POLICE SEARCHING FOR WILKINSBURG MAN

A Wilkinsburg man was drunk, speeding and lacked a driver's license when he caused a fatal car crash last year on the Point Breeze/Squirrel Hill border, according to court records.

Pittsburgh police Monday obtained an arrest warrant for DaQuan Thompson, 24, of Woodlawn Avenue. He was not in custody as of Tuesday night.

Mr. Thompson is accused of causing the death of one passenger, Angelica Fields, 30, of Uniontown, and injuring two others in his vehicle - Iteasha Green and Paris Lindsay - as well as John Barsom, the driver of the vehicle that was struck about noon Oct. 28 in the 1200 block of Shady Avenue.

Mr. Barsom told police that he was driving with his daughter when a silver car came "flying" up Shady Avenue, lost control, turned sideways, crossed the center line and struck his vehicle, breaking his collarbone. …
