American Textile Co. to Open New Facility Move Expected to Create 30 New Jobs

Duquesne-based American Textile Co. will open a new facility in McKeesport's RIDC Industrial Center.

The company announced last week it has signed a lease for a 98,000-square-foot space in the Manor I building in RIDC Park that will be used for the company's warehousing and distributing operations.

The new facility is expected to initially create 30 new jobs.

About 250 people work at the Duquesne facility.

American Textile Co., which makes bedding, including pillows, mattress pads, protectors, blankets, sheets and comforters, has been in business for more than 90 years.

Lance Ruttenberg, the firm's CEO and president, said in a news release the additional space is needed because of the growth of the company's pillow business.
