A SPOOKY spectacle of a club night is currently touring the country and will land in Manchester next month.

The Festival of the Dead merges circus and theatre with clubbing, complete with elaborate costumes for all performers - and a giant mechanical skull.

Taking place at the Bowlers Exhibition Centre on Friday, November 2, there will be professional face-painters on hand to get the crowd involved and 'Day of the Dead' fancy dress is actively encouraged.

The event started as a one-off Halloween party at London's The Troxy, but has since expanded to an international clubbing phenomenon. It sold more than 60,000 tickets across the UK and Europe last year, attracting crowds with live performance, carnival scenes, dancing and top DJs on the decks.

This year's Festival of the Dead tells the tale of one man's journey into the underworld. …
