POLICE have issued an image of a woman they want to speak to in connection with a 'vicious' attack outside a concert.

A woman in her 50s was stood outside the Waterside arts complex, near Sale Library, when she was assaulted.

GMP say the woman was asked for a lighter - and that when she said she didn't have one, she was punched, kicked and had her hair pulled. The woman, who managed to escape, was left covered in bruises and scratches. Clumps of her hair had been pulled out of her head.

Police have launched an investigation into the attack, which took place on Saturday, July 28, at around 11pm.

Pop group The Magic Numbers had earlier performed at the Waterside.

Officers, who have been trawling through CCTV footage, have released an image of a woman they want to speak to. …
