Sane's Inexperience Blamed for Missed Chances

LEROY Sane showed his inexperience in Germany's humbling by the Netherlands on Saturday.

That's the view of his national team manager Joachim Loew, who watched his World Cup flops lose 3-0 in Amsterdam.

Virgil van Dijk, Memphis Depay and Gini Wijnaldum found the net for Ronald Koeman's side, who now sit second in their Nations League group behind France and ahead of Germany, who are yet to win.

City winger Sane came on as a second-half substitute against Netherlands but Loew wasn't overly impressed with the 22-year-old's attacking contribution.

"The young Leroy Sane and Julian Brandt were a breath of fresh air, but they missed a couple of good chances, maybe because of their inexperience," said Loew.

"They need time to develop. We are still searching to set up a good balance between the experienced players and the young players. …
