Scott Free to Head out on Loan Spell for the Season's Second Half

JOSE Mourinho is considering allowing Scott McTominay to leave the club on loan in January, according to reports.

The Scotland international has established himself as one of the United manager's favourites since breaking in to the first team last season. However, he's struggled for game time this season and Mourinho was critical of him after the Newcastle game.

"Maybe it was my wrong decision to start Marcus Rashford and Scott McTominay," Mourinho said following the 3-2 comeback win.

"They were not ready for this level of pressure that the man-hunting is bringing."

And now there are claims the United manager is preparing to let the 21-year-old go out on loan for the second half of the season when the transfer window opens again in January.

McTominay was wanted by Championship sides Aston Villa and Leeds United in the summer but United rejected their advances and the midfielder stayed at the club. …
