Liverpool Injury Worries May Give City Title Race Boost

CITY may have been handed a boost in the title race as four key Liverpool players picked up injuries over the international break.

The Blues drew 0-0 with Liverpool last time out, and could have taken all three points but for Riyad Mahrez's missed penalty.

The point left both teams level on 20 points at the top of the Premier League, along with Chelsea in what is shaping up to be a very close race for the title.

But City may now have a slight edge over their opponents after four Liverpool stars returned from their national teams with injury.

Summer signing Naby Keita hobbled off for Guinea during their African Nations Cup qualifier with Rwanda, holding his thigh. While the injury is not thought to be serious, the extent of the problem will not be known until he returns to Liverpool and he is a doubt for Saturday's trip to Huddersfield. …
