School Board Unanimously Oks Superintendent Contract

Timothy Steinhauer, Mt. Lebanon School District's superintendent for the past 10 years, will remain at his post for at least another five years after the school board on Monday unanimously approved a new contract with the educator.

The new contract will commence July 1, 2019 and expire June 30, 2024.

His salary under the new pact was not announced at Monday's school board meeting. However, the board approved a $12,330 raise for Mr. Steinhauer's for the 2018-19 school year in August, bringing his compensation to $217,822.

"I want to thank him for the work he has put into the school district," said Board President Michael Riemer.

Board member Elaine Cappucci said she has worked with two superintendents during her time on the board and has worked with five superintendents overall. …
