NAT147 - (Mba-Meth-Crisis) WINNIPEG. x-09s. Manitoba's health minister says there is clear evidence that people with addictions are migrating to methamphetamine. An advisory note to the health minister from January shows the number of people in Manitoba entering treatment for meth addiction at publicly-funded centres has increased 700 per cent since 2012. People seeking help for amphetamines at the Addictions Foundation of Manitoba doubled from 2014 to 2016 -- from 3.8 to 8.5 per cent.
