BARS and restaurants have cottoned on even more this year that Halloween is big - and are theming their offers for the celebration of all things frightful.

On Sunday, celebrity chef Aiden Byrne is presenting a 'Blackout Dinner' at his 20 Stories fine dining venue in Spinningfields. On the day the clocks go back, the restaurant will be plunged into darkness for a candlelit 7.30pm dinner.

Diners will enjoy roasted langoustine with hazelnut risotto, sherry jelly and smoked foie gras, followed by beetroot poached salmon with citrus salad and fennel.

Mains is beef fillet with oxtail doughnuts, bone marrow emulsion and grilled broccoli, before Aiden's signature Manchester Tart.
