UNITED have the Premier League's best record for using players that the club have developed themselves.

Players who spent at least three seasons with their current club between the ages of 15 and 21 are classed as "club-trained" players.

Some 20 per cent of the league game time played by United's footballers this season was by clubtrained players, according to research from the CIES Football Observatory. That puts United well ahead of Juventus (0pc) and Real Madrid (15pc), roughly on par with Bayern Munich (21pc), but behind PSG (32pc) and Barcelona (34pc).

Players like Paul Pogba, Andreas Pereira, Scott McTominay, Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard would all count towards the impressive figure for their playing time this season.
