PHIL Foden has been hailed the best young player in Europe.

The 18-year-old is set to start for City tonight in their Carabao Cup fourth round clash with Fulham at the Etihad Stadium.

The Stockport ace has had to wait patiently for his chance at the starstudded Blues. But one team-mate, Oleksandr Zinchenko, believes he is already up there as the leading young player in Europe.

"I think he is the most talented young player in Europe right now," said the Ukrainian, who is hoping to start alongside him tonight. "For him it is so important to stay humble, work hard every day. He's growing up."

Foden has made seven appearances this season, but his only starts came in the Community Shield defeat of Chelsea and the Carabao Cup third round victory at Oxford, when he also registered his first City goal. …
