Henderson Footage Helps Mourinho Avoid FA Ban

UNITED reportedly used footage of Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson to help Jose Mourinho avoid a possible touchline ban.

The Reds manager was charged by the FA for the alleged use offensive language following the comeback win against Newcastle at Old Trafford last month. The FA believed Mourinho had sworn in Portuguese down a TV camera as he walked off the pitch following the 3-2 victory.

Mourinho and the club vigorously contested the charge, which could have resulted in a touchline ban, and in a statement the FA confirmed the United boss will not face any further punishment after the charge was 'not proven'.

It is the first time since 2013 that the FA's Independent Regulatory Commission have rejected an FA charge and a report claims the club used Henderson in their mitigation. …
