BURY manager Ryan Lowe has expressed delight at his side's attacking play following their emphatic 4-1 win away at Macclesfield Town on Saturday.

The Shakers raced into a two-goal lead after just 18 minutes, with captain Neil Danns getting his first goals of the campaign and registering an early goal of the season contender when he fired past goalkeeper Rhys Taylor from 20 yards.

Midfielder Ben Stephens pulled one back for the home side sparking an initial fightback, but a stunning freekick from Jay O'Shea just before half time restored The Shakers's two-goal lead.

Nicky Maynard added more misery for the home side on the hour mark, tapping home Callum McFadzean's cross to secure an emphatic victory.

And after calling for his side to be more ruthless in front of goal last weekend at Port Vale, the Bury boss was delighted to have seen his side come away with the result they deserved. …
