LUTON Town goalkeeper James Shea produced a man-of-the-match display to keep out dominant Rochdale at the Crown Oil Arena.

Dale bossed the first half and were denied by Shea several times, the goalkeeper pulling off a brilliant double save to keep out Matt Done and Jordan Williams in quick succession.

Hatters striker Danny Hylton saw red in the 72nd minute for a studs-up challenge on Ian Henderson and thereafter it was one-way traffic with Dale bombarding the Luton penalty area.

Substitute Zach Clough finally beat Shea late on only to see his curling effort smash against the crossbar. Despite being denied the goal their approach play deserved, Dale boss Keith Hill was pleased with his team's efforts.

"I was pleased with the performance and it's not always about the three points, it's about much more than that," he said. …
