Mac Miller died of an accidental overdose of fentanyl, cocaine and alcohol, according to a statement released Monday from the Los Angeles County coroner's office.

The Pittsburgh rap star, born Malcolm James McCormick, was found dead in his L.A. home on Sept. 7, shortly before going on tour to promote his fifth album, "Swimming."

According to TMZ, his home was reportedly "swept clean," so there would be no evidence of drug use. Only a small amount of white powder reportedly was found. He spent the prior evening watching football with friends.

The rapper was celebrated with an all-star concert in Los Angeles last Wednesday to benefit the Mac Miller Circles Fund, part of The Pittsburgh Foundation, supporting youth arts and community-building programs.

In 2013, Miller, who topped the charts in 2011 with "Blue Slide Park," openly talked about a brief addiction to the drug promethazine (aka "lean") while on the 53-date "Macadelic" tour in 2012. …
