Blues Seek Replacement for Departing Head of Physio

CITY are looking to add to their backroom staff after the departure of head physio Lee Nobes.

Nobes has been involved at the Etihad since 2007 and has served Sven-Goran Eriksson, Mark Hughes, Roberto Mancini, Manuel Pellegrini and Pep Guardiola during an 11-year stay with the Premier League champions.

But he has accepted a job at Liverpool, who lost their physio Matt Konopinski in September when he took up a position at the FA. City are not understood to have yet secured a replacement for Nobes, although the recruitment process is under way.

The club are also looking for a doctor to help out with the academy and women's teams, with specific focus on the EDS and MCWFC.

Liverpool added Bobby Duncan to their academy books this summer. The cousin of Steven Gerrard, the young striker was on City's books but did not play for the Blues last season after failing to agree terms on a new contract. …
