NAT098 - (US-MED-Exercise-Guidelines) WASHINGTON. x-14s. New U-S federal guidelines stress that any amount and any type of exercise helps health. They advise Americans to move more, sit less and get kids active at a young age. It's the first update since the U-S government's physical activity guidelines came out a decade ago. Assistant Secretary for Health Admiral Brett Giroir says the guidelines recommend 150 minutes per week of moderate to vigorous physical activity for adults. ("..so much greater.")
