A West Virginia man has been indicted in Pittsburgh on charges of hauling the largest amount of methamphetamines ever seized in Western Pennsylvania.

Durrell Jones, 33, of Fairmont, was charged Tuesday following a complaint filed last month.

Federal prosecutors said he was caught on Interstate 79 in Butler County with 122 pounds of meth and another 10 pounds of cocaine.

On Oct. 21, a federal task force monitoring drug activity along Interstate 79 and Route 422 in Butler County watched as Mr. Jones arrived at a Pilot gas station in Portersville and parked near an 18-wheeler with California plates.

Agents didn't have a clear view but said he opened his trunk and was "making movements" near the car while a female passenger went inside the gas station.
