The firm behind the redevelopment of the Fenton Chrysler assembly plant site is shedding the KP Development name and rebranding as US Capital Development.

The Clayton-based company Jim Koman founded in 1994 as Koman Properties rebranded as KP Development in 2011. A new leadership team is heading US Capital Development, led by Managing Principal Scott Sachtleben, a former leader at Clayton-based DESCO Group. Sachtleben joined KP last year to manage operations.

The firm now has three focuses: industrial speculative development, custom commercial builds and a senior housing division branded "Oakleigh Development."
