The Mounties say three people have died in a workplace accident in an industrial area just south of Edmonton.

Emergency crews responded Thursday afternoon to a call at Millennium Cryogenic Technologies in Leduc, where three men were declared dead.

Leduc Mayor Bob Young says it's not yet clear what happened, but the situation is contained and there's no public danger.

The R-C-M-P says Alberta Occupational Health & Safety officers are investigating. (19)



The principal at a prestigious private school in Toronto where a student was allegedly sexually assaulted says he's shocked and heartbroken.

Greg Reeves says the administration was informed Monday and immediately began an internal investigation that included informing police and meeting individually with the students involved in the alleged incident.

However, police say they only learned about it when the media started calling Wednesday.

They say they've determined video of the alleged sexual assault meets the definition of child pornography, and anyone who has it is in possession of child porn.

St. Michael's College School is an all-boys Catholic institution that teaches grades 7 through 12. (19)



Rotating walkouts at Canada Post are causing mail and parcel delivery delays across the country, with the situation only expected to worsen as Christmas approaches.

The head of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers says the latest contract offer from the Crown corporation includes some positives, but still doesn't address what the union calls an ''injury crisis.''

The union cites Labour Canada reports, which have placed postal employees ahead of longshore, transportation and mining workers in reporting disabling workplace injuries.

CUP-W is seeking concrete proposals for dealing with those escalating numbers. …
