Fergie Hated Grey Kit for Scientific Reason, Says Neville

GARY Neville has revealed there was science behind why Sir Alex Ferguson hated the infamous grey away kit which the team wore in the 1995/96 season.

The kit will go down in United history after the team swapped their shirts at half-time at the Dell as they were trailing to Southampton.

Ferguson's side found themselves 3-0 down at the interval and he made his team swap their kit for the blue and white version for the second half of the game.

He came out and criticised the colour of the shirt after the match claiming his players were finding it difficult to spot each other. And now Neville has explained there was science behind Ferguson's fury.
