Veron: Reds Can't Find Identity after Ferguson's Departure

UNITED are lacking ideas on the pitch and have struggled to find a worthy successor to Sir Alex Ferguson, according to Juan Sebastian Veron.

The Argentine has delivered a damning verdict on his former club and despite hailing Jose Mourinho as a 'great manager', he believes United are still struggling for a post-Ferguson identity.

It's been a difficult season so far at Old Trafford, with Mourinho's side eighth in the Premier League after 12 games, although their 2-1 win at Juventus in the Champions League has put them on the brink of qualifying for the knockout stages.

Veron believes Mourinho could yet turn out to be the right man for United, but he wants to see a clearer footballing 'idea' at Old Trafford, something he feels has been lacking since Ferguson left at the end of the 2012/13 season. …
