Man Shot on Way to 'Baby Gender Reveal' Party at Pub

A MAN who was shot outside a pub was about to attend a 'baby gender reveal' party at the watering hole, the M.E.N. understands.

Sources said that the victim, who was shot in the stomach outside the Harehill Tavern in a drive-by attack on Saturday night, was travelling to the event to meet with relatives.

It's understood that as he made his way into the pub, on Hattersley Road West in Tameside, the man was blasted by a gunman who was earlier seen in a Renault Clio with another man.

Police have described the shooting as a 'targeted attack.' .

It's not thought that the shooting was related to the pub, or the party, an event where parents tell others the gender of their baby.

Officers are following a number of lines of enquiry.
