SALFORD City boss Graham Alexander says his strike partnership of Adam Rooney and Rory Gaffney will be a key factor in tomorrow's FA Cup first round replay with Shrewsbury Town.

The duo have netted 23 goals between them so far in the National League, helping Salford remain unbeaten since August.

"We've got a healthy return from our strike partnership so far this season but they're supplied with good quality from behind," said Alexander ahead of tomorrow's match at the Peninsula Stadium.

"When we pass it simple and quickly and make aggressive runs and angles for each other we're hard to play against."
