Roma's Pellegrini 'Not Distracted' by Transfer Rumour

LORENZO Pellegrini has not been 'distracted' by rumours of a move to United but his camp are due to sit down with Roma sporting director Monchi again, according to agent Giampiero Pocetta.

Reports in Italy have claimed that United would be prepared to more than double Pellegrini's £35,000-aweek salary after 'discovering' the Italy international has a £27m release clause - which can be activated in July.

United currently have seven central midfielders competing for three spots in Jose Mourinho's favoured 4-3-3 formation, including £47m man Fred, but that has not quelled the speculation.

Roma would loathe to lose the 22-year-old, who has stepped up following the departures of Radja Nainggolan and Kevin Strootman, and it seems talks are on the horizon despite Pellegrini still having threeand-a-half years left on his contract. …
