AFTER taking 16 caps to score his first goal for Germany, Leroy Sane scored his second in as many games in their Nations League draw with Holland.

Sane opened his account for his country in the friendly against Russia on Thursday and then on Monday night he put Germany 2-0 up against Holland with his strike from the edge of the box.

But the visitors scored twice in the last five minutes to snatch a draw and qualify for the Nations League semi-finals, while Germany were already relegated.

Sane will be hoping his international heroics can help him force his way back into Pep Guardiola's first team plans as he competes with Riyad Mahrez for a place in the City side.

The 22-year-old is confident Germany are moving in the right direction as well despite a disappointing 2018 which saw them exit the World Cup at the group stage and suffer Nations League relegation. …
