Corrie Kym: 'It's Scary, but I Can't Wait to Be a Grandma'

CORONATION Street star Kym Marsh has announced that she's going to become a grandmother at 42.

Kym, who became a mother to eldest child David at 18 and Emilie at 21, has opened up about her daughter expecting a baby of her own.

Speaking in this week's issue of OK! Magazine the Corrie actress says she's looking forward to becoming a "young grandmother".

She said: "I've always looked forward to having grandchildren. Although I'm not relishing being called grandma so I've been researching alternative names." Kym, who has played bistro manager and former Rovers Return barmaid Michelle Connor in the ITV1 soap for 12 years, feels emotional that her baby is having a baby of her own.

"I know what it's like to be young and pregnant." she says. "It's scary, but Emilie will be a great mum."

Kym, who also has a seven-year-old daughter Polly, sat with Emilie, who works as a beauty therapist at Manchester city centre salon House of Evelyn, when she took her pregnancy test. …
