Odom Refutes Report, Has "Zero Interest in Louisville"

COLUMBIA, MO. - In response to an earlier report of mutual interest between Missouri coach Barry Odom and Louisville about the head-coaching position at the ACC school, Odom has "zero interest in Louisville," he told the Post-Dispatch in a text message Monday.

Odom, under contract at Mizzou through the 2022 season, said he wasn't sure how the report got started. The 247Sports.com Louisville affiliate Cardinal Authority first reported Sunday that there's mutual interest between Odom and Louisville, citing three anonymous sources. The ACC program is looking to replace Bobby Petrino, who was fired earlier this month. The school has focused its search on Purdue's Jeff Brohm, a former Louisville quarterback and assistant coach, but Sunday's report said Odom had surfaced as another target.

Like last year, Missouri could look to extend Odom's contract, though last year the school didn't change the financial terms of his deal. …
