STOCKPORT County crashed out of the FA Cup after second round defeat to Barnet.

Over 1,500 County fans travelled down to the Hive Stadium with the hope that the Hatters could continue their FA Cup dream.

However, the Bees spoilt the party early on as Dan Sparkes headed in to Ben Hinchliffe's goal after just seven minutes.

County, who are a league below their opponents, had the majority of the possession throughout the game but failed to create any clear chances.

The hosts had several opportunities to double their lead but Sparkes' goal turned out to be the winner.

Vanarama National League side Barnet reach the third round of the FA Cup for the first time since 2008. The defeat is a disappointing one for the Hatters who were impressive during their 3-1 victory over League Two's Yeovil Town in the previous round of the FA Cup. …
