ONLY Altrincham and FC United were in action for the region in the National League North on Saturday.

John Parkinson's side took the lead at Brackley Town's St James Park through Simon Richman, who slotted home when Kallum Mantack's effort was cleared off the line.

Just a couple of minutes later, the hosts equalised from kick-off when Glenn Walker headed in an Ellis Myles cross to send the sides in level at the break.

The deciding goal came just after half time when full-back Andy White curled an effort around the goalkeeper and inside the post to make it 2-1. With Telford United losing against top of the table Bradford Park Avenue, the Robins rise to fourth, but remain six points behind the league leaders.

At the opposite end of the table, FC United slipped to a third straight defeat and into the bottom three with a 2-0 loss at York City's Bootham Crescent. …
