Arrest after Man Dies in M60 Horror Crash

A MAN has died and two others were seriously injured following a horror crash on the M60.

Emergency services were called to junction 16, near Clifton/Pendlebury in Salford, just before 10.25pm on Tuesday to reports of a collision involving three vehicles.

A 60-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A woman, aged 20, and a 39-year-old man were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police said a 12-year-old girl was also injured in the crash, but she has since been released from hospital.

Junction 16 was closed for more than six hours overnight while investigation work was carried out.

According to GMP, the collision involved a white Ford Transit van, a silver Toyota Avensis people carrier and a black BMW 1 series.

The force said a 48-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. …
