NAT001 - (Climate-Change-Plan) VANCOUVER. x-22s. Green Party Leader Andrew Weaver says a plan introduced yesterday by the British Columbia government to shift the province toward cleaner energy use is not only a climate plan, but an economic one. The Clean-B-C plan offers tax incentives to businesses that reduce their carbon emissions and increased access to clean electricity for large operations with new transmission lines. TAG: The government says the initiatives in the plan will reduce B-C's emissions by 18.9 megatonnes, getting the province 75 per cent of the way toward its 2030 target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 40 per cent of 2007 levels.
