"Dance Moms" vet Mackenzie Ziegler had the moves but failed to bring home the inaugural "Mirror Star Trophy" Sunday night on ABC's "Dancing With the Stars: Juniors."

Murrysville native and pop singer Mackenzie, 14, performed twice, saving the best for last. She and pro Sage Rosen performed their holiday hip-hop freestyle to Justin Bieber's "Drummer Boy" dressed in bright red and gold, and accompanied by four other dancers.

The judges loved it, with Mandy Moore calling it "absolutely flawless." Adam Rippon merely added, "Are you kidding me?" The remaining judge, Val Chmerkovskiy, appeared equally impressed.

To no one's surprise, all three awarded them the highest combined score of 30 points. Studio audience points from the semifinals and the final also were factored in. But it wasn't enough, as skateboarder Sky Brown, 10, and JT Church were declared the winners with a set of two perfect scores. …
