VANCOUVER. x-14s. The Supreme Court of Canada has dismissed the B-C Civil Liberties Association's bid to fast-track a lawsuit challenging the federal assisted dying law. The top court won't hear an appeal of a lower-court decision that found the federal government had the right to re-litigate findings of fact made in a 2015 Supreme Court decision that struck down the ban on assisted death. Shanaaz Gokool of Dying With Dignity Canada says the current law means many people don't qualify for assisted death.
