Mother's Agony over Tragic Baby Headstone Theft

A MUM says she has been left 'heartbroken' after her stillborn daughter's headstone was stolen from her grave.

Siobohn Gaffon discovered her little girl's marble memorial had been taken from Blackley Cemetery and Crematorium on Friday. Her second baby, Siobohn Gasson, was still born full term in July 2010.

The mum-of-three said the theft has brought back the pain of her bereavement.

Siobohn, 36, from Unsworth, said: "When my nan told me what had happened I felt numb and sick to be honest.

"It means nothing to anyone else, I can't get over why anyone would take it. I've heard of gravestones being vandalised and that's sick enough. But never this.

"Obviously, I know she's not here but just seeing her grave like that without headstone, it's like something has been taken away from me.

"As if losing her was not bad enough, now I feel like I have nothing. …
