ST. JOHN'S, N.L. x-17s. The former premier who sanctioned Newfoundland and Labrador's Muskrat Falls megaproject says she was ready to walk away if the project affected the public's trust in her. Kathy Dunderdale is testifying this week at the inquiry into cost and schedule overruns of the Churchill River dam in Labrador. She said she was stressed months after sanctioning to learn that Nova Scotia's Emera had not met the terms of the federal loan guarantee she signed to secure funding.
