CITY host Crystal Palace in their final home game of 2018, knowing a win will set them up well ahead of a busy Christmas period.

The visit of Palace is the first of five games in 16 days over the festive period, so Pep Guardiola could be tempted to rotate his City squad to keep everyone fresh. That is how he approached the midweek win over Leicester in the Carabao Cup, as youngsters Aro Muric, Eric Garcia, Phil Foden and Brahim Diaz were all given starts, and influential pair Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero both started together for the first time in nine months on their return from injury.
