A zoo where a toddler stumbled into a rhinoceros enclosure is suspending exhibits offering "premium" animal experiences while officials review safety protocol. The Brevard Zoo announced the suspension of the Rhino Encounters exhibit and similar displays in a statement yesterday. The two-year-old girl was taken to a hospital for treatment on Tuesday after she stumbled through steel poles separating the rhinos and spectators. Zoo director Keith Winsten says they are taking more precautions. ("..sure it doesn't.") (SOURCE:ABC)

NAT013 - (US-Quake-Alert-App) (NOT FOR ONLINE USE) UNDATED. x-08s. An early warning prior to an earthquake could save your life. Now there's an app that could do just that for residents in Los Angeles County. Tom Heaton, a Caltech seismologist, helped design the Shake Alert application and says a push alert on your phone would read: "earthquake, earthquake, expect strong shaking, drop, cover and hold, protect yourself now." Heaton says an alert can be delivered anywhere from 20 seconds to about a minute before the earth shakes. ("..and a half.") (SOURCE:ABC)
