CALGARY - A Calgary man says he will never leave his vintage 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS on the street overnight again.

Rob Cook received good news earlier this week when the car, which he purchased from a Michigan auto dealer for $55,000 in 2013, was found hidden away in a Calgary garage after it was stolen from outside a business last October.

He says it only has minor damage and thieves ended up sawing through the steering wheel lock to drive it away.

Officers believe the car, which is blue with black racing stripes and a 7.4-litre, 360-horsepower engine, was destined for a buyer outside of Alberta.

Police have not made any arrests but say the investigation continues. …
