These scones are made moist by adding cream cheese and yogurt. They come together quickly in a food processor, and can be made savory or sweet with your favorite add-ins.

2½ cups unbleached all-purpose flour

¼ cup granulated sugar

2½ teaspoons baking powder

½ teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon fine salt

12 tablespoons unsalted butter, chilled and cut into small pieces

4 ounces cream cheese

½ cup Greek yogurt

1 large egg, lightly beaten

2 tablespoons heavy cream or milk

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or spray with cooking oil.

In food processor, blend flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt together. Add butter and cream cheese, and pulse until a coarse meal forms. Add yogurt and egg. Pulse until everything is just mixed together. …
