Diaz's 'Living the Dream' with His Debut in Real Romp

BRAHIM Diaz said it has been his dream since he was a child to represent Real Madrid after he made his debut for the European champions on Wednesday night.

The 19-year-old Spaniard, who completed his move from City to Madrid earlier this week, came on as a 78th-minute substitute in Los Merengues' 3-0 win over Leganes in the last 16 of the Copa del Rey. Goals from Sergio Ramos, Lucas Vazquez and Vinicius Junior had already put the game out of reach by the time Brahim entered the fray and the former City youngster revealed Madrid's captain gave him some encouragement at the final whistle.

"This is great, an unforgettable and unique day," Brahim said.

"Making my debut at the Bernabeu is great. This is a dream since I was a child. Winning makes the dream greater, but I take everything in peace. …
